First Aid/CPR/AED

The purpose of the courses in the First Aid/CPR/AED program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies; and to know how to care for a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.

The program offers the flexibility of selecting First Aid, CPR and AED courses for adults, children and infants depending upon your training needs.

The First Aid/CPR/AED program is available in multiple formats: Classroom (instructor-led) and Blended Learning (online component & instructor-led skills session). The appropriate level of training is decided by the organization or individual.

The Adult First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head/neck/back injuries, heat/cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing/cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older. 

Successful students will receive a certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. 

This course is offered in two formats:

     Instructor Led: Course Duration approximately 3 hours 30 minutes

     Blended Learning: Online Component approximately 2 hours

                                               Skills Session (In-person) approximately 2 hours

Minimum 4 participants/Maximum 12 participants

The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head/neck/back injuries, heat/cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing/cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). 

Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.

     Instructor Led: Course Duration approximately 4 hours 30 minutes

     Blended Learning: Online Component approximately 2 hours 30 minutes

                                               Skills Session (In-person) approximately 2 hours 30 minutes

Minimum 4 participants/Maximum 12 participants

The Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head/neck/back injuries, heat/cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing/cardiac emergencies to help infants and children up to 12 years of age. 

This is a great course for babysitters and anyone regularly entrusted with the care of infants and children.

Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.

     Instructor Led: Course Duration approximately 4 hours 30 minutes

     Blended Learning: Online Component approximately 2 hours 30 minutes

                                               Skills Session (In-person) approximately 2 hours 30 minutes
